At the heart of any community is the commonality of and love for that community's vision and purpose. Here at the Center for Spiritual Living, Bakersfield our vision and purpose can be concisely summarized in one word - God. God expresses Itself in many forms. One form vital to any community is Service, and in our community that service is to one another and to God. Through Sacred Service to our spiritual community, we love and support each other, we create a safe and loving space in the world for all who come to us, and we individually and collectively make our way along the spiritual path of evolution of consciousness.
Sacred Service - the giving of one's time and talents - is the heart and soul of any Spiritual Community, and we at CSL, Bakersfield have a wonderful group of volunteers who give of themselves to help in the daily operation of the church as well as ensuring the Love, Warmth and Sacredness of our Sunday Service, events, and activities. And there are still many, many ways and areas in which to express the Gifts and Blessings that come back to us through the giving of our service.
